Okko Huising MIM

For almost twenty years, I have been working in companies and organizations in the area of information management and IT. I have mainly gained experience in the telecom, banking and insurance, government and education sectors. The disciplines that I have concentrated on are personnel management, financial control, marketing, sales and the aspects that deal with information provision and the internet.

In my work I am driven, enthusiastic and result oriented. I often work, with common sense as my guiding principle, in the innovation field, based on a business management background. I am often asked what MIM stands for. That is the result of the Masters of Information Management programme at the TIAS Business School (Tilburg University) that I successfully completed. I have been self employed in the area of consultancy and coaching since 1999. From 1 May 2006, entirely self employed as an information management adviser and consultant. In addition, I also work as interim manager, change manager and programme and project manager. I obtain these assignments through my own acquisition activities and in collaboration with Resources Global Professionals as an ‘Associate’.

My enthusiasm for the profession arises from the conviction that making appropriate use of information management and information provision leads to (r)evolutionary improvements in organizations. Current activities at customers are focused on natural information management, business and IT alignment, change management, and programme and project management.
I normally work in the Netherlands, but also regularly abroad (United States, South Africa, Australia).
